Joe and I go back to beginning of the Joe and Holly relationship at South jr- he was smitten...and through high school, it was Joe and his girls in his VW, as he was the only one driving and owning a car..
And we shared the same birthday..
He has left this earth as a prosperous man, as he had the love of a wonderful wife and family- he couldn't ask for more..
Rest in peace Joe

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joey's passing. You can't think of Holly without thinking of Joey and the many years they had together. They were the couple everyone wanted to be. Hold on to your memories Holly and one day you will smile again. Wishing you strength and peace at this most difficult time.

Fondly,

Gretchen

Dear Holly, My heart is broken for you that you have lost your true love at such a young age. I trust that your children and grandchildren will keep Joe's memory with you each day. He did live and die a wealthy man and was loved by many. This is a reminder especially in this difficult year 2020 to hug your loved ones each day.
May he Rest in Peace. Big virtual hugs X XX Beth Holland

While we didn't really know Joe and Holly all that well, Joe has been a part of our lives for years. Like us, Joe was a yard sale and flea market junkie. We have been running into each other for years in pursuit of treasures. While we gravitated toward books and vintage kitchen items, no Disney collectible was safe from Joe. While this year has seen the cancellation of many of the sales we have always enjoyed, we are sure that every Mickey Mouse knick-knack we see will trigger memories and we'll still look around wondering if Joe has been there yet to buy his latest treasure.

Rest in peace, Joe, we'll miss you.

Joe and I taught together at East for a number of years. He always had a great smile and a willingness to help anyone with anything at any time. What I remember most about him, though, is that he was so proud of his family and completely happy to be a husband and father. He will be missed.

Dear Holly and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. You have all been in my thoughts since I heard the tragic news.

Joe was a wonderful guy that had the best smile known to man. It seems we all grew up together through

Highlands School and onward.  I remember Joey at South and BHS on the football field, and waiting for you

after class.  You were the greatest couple in our class.  This must be so hard for you, please know how much

you are loved by all.

Love and condolences,

Cindy Hopkins Watson

Holly - So sorry to hear of the loss of your soul mate, Joe. Although, we played sports together through our high school years and I didn't know Joe all that well it was without a doubt the love he had for you. May God give you and your family the strength and love to get through this difficult time.  My condelences and prayers to you, your children and grandchildren. Cherrish your memories as they will help you through this very sad time.

Holly,

I am so very sorry to hear of Joe's passing.  He was such a wonderful person, a great team mate on the wrestling, and a considerate room mate when he crashed in my room while visiting you at Colby.
