I don't even know where to begin with my thoughts of Risa. I guess it would be playing basketball together in HS then through to our adult years. Risa was one of the sweetest souls you would ever meet and count yourself as blessed if you were lucky enough to be her friend. Risa was by my side as I was diagnosed with cancer and then treatment. She started the breast cancer support group at SSH where our friendship continued and lasted until she passed. I will miss her dearly but I am relieved for her that her struggle has ended. Risa was very honest with me as to how hard this fight was when she was at her lowest point and I often wondered how she had the strength to keep fighting. She was a special lady and will be missed by all who were touched by her light. RIP my old friend.
